Landscaping was a major element of the design of the Route 202 Parkway. The roadway’s location was selected to minimize impacts to existing woodlands and other sensitive environmental areas. Trees and other plantings were added along the roadway and shared used path to help the project blend into these existing areas. As part of the project’s landscaping plans, berms, with plantings, were added to provide a visual barrier and a measure of sound reduction. The Parkway’s at-grade intersections also will be landscaped using native plantings. Landscaping plans for each of the three sections can be viewed below. For easier viewing, each section has been divided into two files. These plans are subject to revision and changes as the Parkway is built and adjustments are made.
